The Lakeside Arts Centre Collection
From 1992, when the Nottingham University Art Gallery moved to its present purpose-built premises at the south entrance to University Park and was renamed the Djanogly Art Gallery after its principal benefactor Sir Harry Djanogly, the gallery has built up year on year a small collection of contemporary art to adorn the walls of the Lakeside Arts Centre and adjacent Music Department. The purchases made with relatively modest sums of money have tended to be from artists whose work has featured in Gallery exhibitions or from artists working in the Nottingham and East Midlands region. At present the collection consists of 98 items.
